Q:
Are the center channel, sub and surround speakers always active in home theater? |
A:
Your unit is designed to allow for 6-channel audio when playing DVDs that incorporate 5.1 sounds. It is not unusual for a DVD soundtrack to have very little surround information provided. Tuner and Analog In offer 2 channel + subwoofer sound only |
Q:
Can I make this DVD player all-region? |
A:
No, our DVD players read Region 1 only or discs that play ALL. |
Q:
Can I program a Universal Remote control to work on my Apex Television? |
A:
Currently there are no codes available until 2004. We suggest asking your CE retailer about a "Learning" Universal remote control and not one that requires programming special codes. |
Q:
Can you help me connect my DVD player to my television? |
A:
Some older televisions only have an antenna terminal and do not have video inputs necessary to connect DVD players. Use an RF Modulator that can be purchased at a major home electronics retailer or at our online store at www.apexdigitalinc.com |
Q:
Can you recommend a software program to make SVCD, JPEG, MP3 discs? |
A:
Many different software programs are currently available on the Internet. The software program that other Apex owners have used that they say works well with our units and is easy to use is "Nero." If you would like other suggestions on burning methods contact the software maker of the program that you would like to use. |
Q:
How do I activate the Karaoke feature? |
A:
While in DVD mode, press SETUP and main menu will appear on screen
Using direction key select KARAOKE SETUP, enter and activate.
Using optional microphones, play karaoke DVDs. CD+G not supported |
Q:
How do I adjust bass, treble and volume for each of the speakers in my home theater unit? |
A:
Press MODE then note the selections that appears on screen
Change selection for front, center, surround, subwoofer, bass and treble control

Q:
How do I connect my DVD player if my TV has no video inputs (yellow, red, white connections)? |
A:
To connect the DVD player/ Recorder to an older TV, use an RF Modulator that can be purchased at a major home electronics retailer. The modulator will enable you to connect the DVD player/ Recorder to your TV's coaxial or cable connection. You can then view your DVD movies on Channel 3 or 4. You may also purchase this at our online store at www.apexdigitalinc.com. |
